Not too many visitors at our house because we are relatively isolated, four miles of dirt road to get to our place. We've not had any rain since last September so this year the wildflower, which is usually lovely in March and April, has been almost non-existant. With luck, we'll be getting 5-7 inches of rain in July and August.

Where is Valsesia? What's it like to live there?

I spend three or four days a week at home by myself, then go to dinner once a week and normally there are one or two visits with friends. Life is peaceful but we are not alone the way I would think of when considering life on a desert island.

I may have unintentionally got on this site through a friend in India who is Gandhi scholar. I live on Prince Edward Island just off the east coast of Canada. I know little about Gandhi but being in my 80's I knew about his great work in India and South Africa. I have been a Baha'i almost all of my life and I do know we have much in common in our beliefs. India needs the teachings of Vinoba most, and the understanding of international community.
