It is my pleasure to be acquainted Sanchayji. Perhaps I can visit your work when I come to India this fall. I have been once to Rajasthan near Wardha. I hope we can keep in touch. I feel like India is becoming my second home!

Sanjay, Thank you for the reply. "Make India your home." That is a weighty statement! I do not think I could leave my community and family here. Also, I do not have an adequate appreciation about why I am needed in India which requires living there. Focus makes much sense, but what does it mean in my case. I will keep is in mind, but do not think that I'm there yet.

As we said in the 60's, we are in the "belly of the beast." (the superpower, which is where much of the harm is focused.

Sanchay, I missed you in Rajsamand. Again! But, we must take care of business and family. I am still recovering from the trip. I sent Dr. Gandhi a summary report if you are interested.

I do not know how much more I can come to India, but we will see. I received very strong imput about the tribal and rural villages with the stress of "development" of mines and other resources. Yet, I have little to contribute to the plight, other than some advocacy and educaton. Peace, Bernie

Dear Sanchay ji, please convey my regards to your respected father. My grandfather too was a Gandhian. You are right we should do something. What and how? I am also thinking on this line. But as individuals we do not have that courage which Gandhi always had.Can you think out something? The real problem is these so-called Gandhians. They have done maximum damaage to Mahatma Gandhi.

I suppose it is a coined word. The original word is Utopia (generally without capital U). It is a visionary place where everything is in harmony. In the real world, such place does not exist. Another is Dystopia. Which means a place where everything is in disharmony and full of miseries. Topia, I believe is a Latin word which means place. Gandhiserve foundation, most likely coined the word from this idea. Gandhitopia is Gandhi's place. This is how I understand. Peter Ruhe who leads this site will be the most appropriate person to throw more light on thee naming process of the site. We will keep meeting
