Your offer of collaboration is indeed fantastically good news for me and my Ghanian colleague.
Secondly, might you arrange endorsement of King Condemned US Wars and Predatory Investment International Awareness Campaign launched past July by Global Peace and Justice Ministries Riverside Church New York.
Thirdly, if have something to communicate that is of little use to other GandhiTopia members, my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
I await with checked impatience you esteemed reply,
gratefully, jay janson and Sammy Attoh.
For your endorsing decision find appended our standard endorsement invite: Dear Yogendra Yadav, Sam Attoh of Ghana and myself both of Global Peace and Justice Ministries Riverside Church launched Martin Luther King Revival Initiative is respectfully requesting your kind review of the International Campaign for Awareness of King's Condemnation of U.S. Wars and the "unjust overseas predatory investments they are meant to maintain" and the International Petition to Pastors of All Faiths to Condemn US Wars as Martin Luther King Jr. Did. http://kingcondemneduswars.blogspot.com/ and its new adjunct campaign Prosecute US Crimes Against Humanity Now which features a country by country history of US Crimes. http://prosecuteuscrimesagainsthumanitynow.blogspot.com/ Familiar with your well known uncompromising anti-imperialism and anti-war position, we are reasonably sure you would like to know of the existence of this campaign. We are seeking your endorsement to add to that of Ramsey Clark, Cornell West, Wynton Marsalis, Pete Seeger among other distinguished persons listed at the bottom of the website along with clergy and non-clergy related anti-war organizations. Respectfully requesting review of the Website http://kingcondemneduswars.blogspot.com/
------- King Condemned US Wars has endorsement of former US Att. Gen. Ramsey Clark, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Pax Christi International, Pastors For Peace, Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Thomas Merton Center Anti-War Committee, Manhattan Mennonite Fellowship, Cornell West, Dr. Serene Jones, Union Theological Seminary, Rev. Charles Emmanuel McCarthy, Center for Christian Nonviolence, Rabbi Michael Lerner, pacifist folk-singer Pete Seeger, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, composer Dave Amram, Veterans For Peace, Come Home America US, Voices For Creative Non-violence, CodePink, We Want World Peace, Richard D. Wolff, U. of Massachusetts, James Vrettos, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and through their chapters, and nationwide distribution of its newsletter, support from MaryKnoll Office of Global Concerns. Archbishop Tutu has sent his approval and call for the petitions widest publication. There are already congregations in countries around the world, especially at least one in every nation in Africa, promoting this international rebirth of Martin Luther King's image and teaching to lead public awareness of its capability to make wars unable to be continued. We ask everyone to please note our wording's intention to ignore government and politics and focus attention on conscience and the source of wars, as Rev. King did in his "Beyond Vietnam - a Time to Break Silence" and "Why I am Opposed to the War in Vietnam" sermons which war promoting corporate owned media has completely blacked out during these 44 years since his assassination.
We feel without educating ourselves to the "unjust overseas predatory investments wars are created to maintain," condemnation of war will be meaningless, since a lead financial element within the private investment community, which currently disposes of the larger part of the planet and its inhabitants, owns and controls 98% of electronic and print media sources of information, and has owned all three branches of government "since the days of Andrew Jackson." [President Franklin Roosevelt to Cordell Hull, 1932]
As you probably know, King spent more than half of his two two world shocking sermons of 1967 teaching peoples history from 1945. We are aiming, that in this Age of Instant Communication, a relatively small number of King followers will awaken millions to what King taught. The tens of thousands of sensitive people presently dedicated to protesting in spite of not expecting it to stop the wars, will join in making the well known image of King a catalyst for people everywhere to realize their capability to prevent wars and prosecute those guilty of crimes against peace as described in the Nuremberg Principles that are international and national law.
