Gandhi was a man of God. God for him was Truth. How could one believer in Truth, favour Democratic System? In Democracy 51% is consider Truth and 49% is consider untruth. This fundamental point has to be understood now. It is almost more than three centuries that this System has been going on. In eighteenth Century, this system was consider better than the barbaric-systems where Might is Right was the order of the day. To ordinary people this Democracy looked far better. But at that time people could not understand the limitations of this system.Slowely people started understanding the flaws of this system. Shri Anna Hazare is a glairing example these days in India. People have awakened now and so called Democracy can not stand for long. People interested can see my small book, Democracy on Dialysis  What Next ?

This book was published in the year 2003, by Lok Swaraj Manch.

I have been humbly carring on this mission since 1984, after getting frustrated from JP Movement For Total Revolution in the year 1981-82. I fail to understand as to how this system of democracy would be successful? In the past 65 years our democratic governments have yet to decide the criteria as to what percentage of our population is below poverty line. Just few days back  in the Media, there were diffreces of openion between Planning Commission and Government of India over the issue of minimum wages to the poorest of the poor. In the villages of Punjab senior citizens are paid only 250 per month. How could a person can survive at such a low income?

People have to understand what actually is the goal of their life. Is it enough to fill their bally by any means or do they have a higher goal in their life? Human being is the only social animal which has been gifted with three faculties. First is physical, second is mental and third is supper mental or you may call spiritual. It is good to lookafter the physical body. Keep it fit, Swasthya and side by side awaken our mental and spiritual faculties. Then only we can lead a complete and wholesome life. In a democretic-system there is no school which will teach us how to think and that too Think Positively. It is after thinking positively, one can act in a positive way personally and socially.

Thankyou brother.I could not understand why Gandhi favoured democracy in India and how he could not imagine the condition of democracy in India the way it is today.

Gandhi's basis for every system is truth(to the extent of 100%),high morality and transparency. Surely, people could not understand the limitations of democracy at that time.May be Gandhi a seeker of truth himself could not believe that Indians, his own people, will be so swiftly shift towards corrupt practices.
