Punch Line Contest by GPCA
Last month, Gandhi Peace Centre, Australia (GPCA) has launched a contest to create a "Punch-Line" for the promotion of Peace, Nonviolence, Brotherhood, Equality and other ideals of Mahatma Gandhi through their Facebook page. Prizes are awarded in two categories: Top 5 entries which get the maximum ‘like’s in the page and 5 best punch lines selected by the GPCA judges.
First round of the contest was just over on 14th November, the day observed in India as Children’s Day. The second round of the contest will be for next couple of months until 30th January, 2015 when the winning entries are announced finally. The contest needs to grab the more number of ‘like’s to various entries posted on the page. You may visit their Facebook page here.
Ronnie D’Souza, the Director of the GPCA in his comment on the Facebook page has thanked and appreciated for the overwhelming response for liking GPCA page and owning the Peace initiatives with the innovative expressions "peace punch- lines." He added, "Let's build our own legion of Peace and non violence space; as Gurudev said 'where the mind is without fear….Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake." - Ronniebhai
