To remember and pay tribute to Gandhiji, I wrote about the first Mahatma Gandhi's statue erected in New Zealand.
On 30 January 1948, Gandhiji was assassinated. To pay homage to him I wrote a blog on 'Mindful Living' and also a tribute to him on Care2.com. This is my way of remembering Gandhiji and showing my gratitude for all that he has done.
My grandfather who passed away last year at this time was a Freedom Fighter and till the end he wore his Gandhi topi and only Khadi clothes. Both he and my grandmother, who is 90 years old now have always been my inspiration. They introduced me to Gandhian values and Theosophy when I was an 11 year old girl. These teachings have shaped my life so far.
I want to share the benefits of the lessons I learnt from great men like Mahatma Gandhi and others who dedicated their lives for the welfare of humanity.
We have to make an effort to work for the welfare of India so that the work that the Freedom Fighters did will not go waste. Current issues like Global Warming, Corruption and other issues have to be dealt with. My articles:
