The key concept that Gandhi had been emphasising was how to achieve Swaraj. This concept was first said in Vedas, the books of Knowledge Within. The simple meaning of Swaraj is how to control oneself without the fear of outwardly force which is called State Power. From time immemorial, it has been the collective persuation of human beings, which unfortunately has not been fully achieved. Some individuals did try and got success from time to time. For example some Rishis from the time of… Continue

Holi is the Indian festival of celebrating the summer with colours and joy.
I think that the real motto of Holi is to give the message of Equality and Uniformity as a social philosophy. This is the festival to spread love , peace and joy among all beyond any perception of Religion, caste and Region.
This message is similar to Gandhi's philosophy who always tried to remove the differences arised because of… Continue

As I mentioned briefly in the pervious Blogs, Nirbhaya is a new Social Concept used by Gandhi to solve social problem of violence. He wanted to replace the old concepts of solving social issues like Violence in the Global Society. Human being has yet to try to solve this problem of global concern.Human being has just to change the strategy. What has been the age old method? Mere physcial Force. It has brought us from age old Arrows and Bows to Atom Bombs and Chemical War, but the problem of… Continue

Gandhi was having a roaring practice as a lawyer in South Africa. In the begining he was having some problems. But later on he became a very popular Attorny. Why did he leave his legal practice? During the course of his practice as a lawyer Gandhi came to realize that in this profession one can not strict to Truth. Instead, one has to be highly tactful and sometimes compromise with the wrong facts in order to win the case of his client. For example in the case of Dada Abdullah he realised that… Continue

A friend has written to me that Aprigraha is a very ancient concept and may not be possible to practice it in today's world. I think it can be practiced. It is more relevant today than at any time in the past. Gandhi gave it a new meaning. He called it a life of voluntary poverty. In today's world poverty is consider as a curse. Of course poverty is a curse. But voluntary poverty has a altogether new concept. It does not mean at all to live in misery. Voluntary poverty means, consume… Continue

Have you ever made your parents a Valentine?
Kathmandu, Nepal, — Valentine's Day is coming. Have you ever made your parents a Valentine? It is beautiful if you make them a Valentine. I want my parents to be my Valentine. I have learned from my parents, "Love brings only
love." Love means to unite the minds, a matter which is wider than the sky and
as attractive as the flower. I remember a morning when we smiled, keeping hand

The true meaning of life
We are visitors on this planet,
We are here for ninety
Or hundred years
At the very most.
During that period,
We must try to do something good,
With our lives.
If you contribute to other people’s happiness,
You will find the true goal,
The true meaning of life.

Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean....
Joyfulness keeps the heart and face young. A good laugh makesus better friends with ourselves and everybody around us
One must never lose time in vainly regretting the past or in complaining against the changes which cause us discomfort, for change is the essence of life
In the long run, men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, they had better aim at something high.
Practice isn't the thing… Continue
