Hi Prasun-
Thank you for your interest. I am conducting dissertation research tentatively entitled: Global Nonviolence: Diffusion, Dynamics, and Impacts. The goal of my research is to look at the historical spread of an explicitly nonviolence tactics, to trace the rise of the international organization of nonviolence, and to test to efficacy of different tactics and the influence of transnational support for nonviolent movements. I draw data from a number of sources. For my historical component I rely upon peace historians work, organizational histories and newspaper sources. For my organizational analysis I begin with the Union of International Association's Annual Yearbook database and then search through websites and online archives. I am also interviewing organizers and would love to interview you about your work if you are interested. Finally I am working towards the construction of a statistical analysis of the effects of different types of international support in different phases of conflict resolution. I am in the early stages of historical and organizational research right now but will keep you all posted as research progresses.

If you are free to chat a skype call would be better for me as I have very limited international phone access. Skype provides free online accounts for free international calls. Please email me if you'd like to chat and I'll send you my sykpe account name. scruzch@emory.edu

I am also looking for someone who might be attending the conference end of January. I am unable to go because I am teaching a class but would like to pass on my tape recorder to someone if possible. I have emailed WRI about making some seminars available online for those of us who cannot attend but haven't heard back yet. Are you going by chance?

Thanks again for your inquiry- I look forward to hearing more about your work and wish you a happy and peaceful new year.
Selina

Hi Prasun ji,

Resp Prabhash ji has left the Indian media fraternity as orphaned and that at the time when how the media is being manipulated & used by the vested interests. It is really a testing time for people like us who believe in the strong social responsibilities of the media. I think Prabhash ji was of the genre of journalist Mahatma Gandhi who used the weapon of journalism for heralding social changes in India.

Since early childhood I have revered and learned about the great Mahatma Gandhi. Coming from a childhood of unbelievable violence i waited each second, minute, hours, day, week, and years until I also would be able to provide a place of Peace, safety, understanding, compassion. To walk by, with, to, and for belief and faith was my one request from God. I am now at that place, but unfortunately on life support (dialysis).

Before I became with so many disabilities, I also met Mother Theresa. I told of my two wishes, of a yearly event to remember lives with profound disabilities and to build a Peace Center by/for/with and to lives with any kind of disabilities, and make it Inclusive and Accessible for all.

She told me, 'continue, you will not fail'. I met here two more times and each time she gave me this same message. This year, will be our first event and I dearly hope it will continue after my death. I also hope the legacy for now and to future generations of a MHONA Global Peace Center will become a reality. I feel that the lives of the frailest are really not heard in today's world, and their lives thrown asunder without conscience.

It is time we come together as civilians of the globe, as well our children and start our 'walk and roll' here in the City of San Francisco wherein the first offering to Nations offered Universal Human Rights. This time it will be the most frail, our family, friends, all houses of faith who will work alongside us to offer an accessible place as our Global Peace Center where no one will be turned away and barriers to the heart no longer exist.

I believe that the great teacher Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Theressa would approve of this very important offering. MHONA stands for:

Many Helpers Outreach Network Affiliates. Civilians, youth of all countries working together to offer goodness, hope, empowerment and Peace in the time we have left. We only ask for all lives coming to assist us on these two projects to be pledged to Peace throughout their lives, offering only goodness.
A Friend of Peace and Yours,

I invite my children to think about peace, freedom and human rights. We look for areas of service and contribution in the world.
