In regard to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi I am a / we are an
student, scholar, activist, artist, institution
About me / us
Born and raised not far from the Hopedale of Adin Ballou and the Concord of Henry David Thoreau, I've been a devoted advocate of Gandhian nonviolence for over half my life. I received my Bachelor's degree in 2005 from the University of Michigan, specializing in The Philosophy and Practice of Nonviolence - a program I tailored to my own academic interests. I was then fortunate enough to work closely for a time with one of the most important scholars of nonviolent action since Gandhi himself, Gene Sharp. Lately much of my work has been toward the founding of Lokashakti - a musical group/political nonprofit devoted to promoting Gandhian methods and ideals.
My / our projects, events, campaigns, research, publications
I am currently engaged in research on two fronts: 1) toward the publishing of a treatise that aims to introduce younger generations to a Gandhian rationale and method for ending war; and 2) on the development of nonviolence as a viable idea in the world of political theory, and as an alternative to the status quo, i.e. government based on coercive force.
I am / We are member of the following institution(s)
Lokashakti - A nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to promote peace and social justice around the world. We believe that all power is in the hands of the people and that through collective nonviolent action we can free ourselves from injustice and war. By providing resources for networking, organizing, and education, we help empower groups and individuals seeking to create positive nonviolent social change.

I went through the pages of your website... very good job! I am sure you'll develop it in a way that will attract young resources, as the 'ahimsa' movement badly needs freshness and tecnology expertise to update and expand its networking capacity. keep me updated.
