Purna Swaraj was the sole objective. Remaining within the gambit of non-violent civil disobedience, the Mahatma, with a well thought of plan, decided on the marathon walk of 23 days covering 390 Kilometers, from Sabarmati at Ahmedabad to the sea shores of Dandi, to break the ‘Namak Kanoon’.
