About me / us: I am a writer, gardener, and baker. I teach a type of intensive gardening, especially to impoverished women so that they can provide food for themselves and their families.
I have been married to my husband, Rich, for 40 years and have three sons and three grandsons.
My most important goal is to serve God in whatever ways he chooses to use me.

I started my public-life with this experience. In the year 1974, when I had been working in the Rajghat School of Non-violence I came directly in a situation of conflict between Democracy and Dictatorship. It was the period of Internal Emergency, imposed by the then Prime Minister if India. it was at that time that I realised how democracy can be abused and turned into dictatorship by the head of democracy. I suffered imprisonment along with the hundered of thousands of people of my country. It was with this experience that I turned to Gandhi and realized that democracy is not the answer. And democracy is not the right way to awaken the common citizen.

We all talk about Peace and try to convince to those who are already Peaceful.We all seach peace with in ourselves and get satisfied but in the world Peace is disturbed every where.Nonviolence and Peace canot not be seen in compartments,I mean that when the governments are violent, economy is also violent,society is also violent,how we can propagate Peace,Nonviolence and compassion and love. we should see all these in society and we should not confined these values with in oueselves but share with others. Question remains HOW?
