I have made an attempt to bunch together documents taken from the Collected Works of Mahatma Gadhi, connected with his fast unto death in 1932, against the Communal Award. A reading of these documents puts the reader in touch with the Mind of Mahatma Gandhi and thus can be likened to a pilgrimage through those magical times when untouchability was abolished and Hinduism was purged of this great curse which had defied the reformers for decades.The website is at the following link:…See More

Mahatma Gandhi life has much to teach us at every plane: be it physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual.It would be very interesting for the members of this group to select some of the things that appeals to them from the life of Gandhi and try to incorporate it in life As for me I can say that I have done the following:
1.Gave up the use of leather because the Khadi stores here have stopped selling shoes made up of leather of dead animals. Started using shoes and wallet of synthetic material. They are cheaply available and durable.
2 From being a vegetarian became a vegan by giving up milk and milk products and honey.
3.Started cutting my own hair. The back side hair cut is always uneven but it is fun.
4.Gave up alcoholic drinks.
5.Fasted for six days at a stretch several times. I found it good for health
