About me / us
When i met Arya in 1982, for the first time, as guest of the SERVAS Int'l, Arya introduced me to the Gandhian Movement and Community in India. In 1985, i lived in Italy at the time, a small office of the G.I.A.(Gandhi in Action), the international association constituted by Arya, was inserted within the Cooperative, where i worked and dedicated my life for 15 years. The G.I.A. provided guidelines within and throughout the success of the Cooperative Le Due Valli, whose responsibility was in creating and developing new jobs for whoever was in need and suffering from social and mental poverty. Throughout the years, working and sharing episodes and events of personal and public realtions together with Arya, i have had the opportunity to learn, withness, and experience the meaning of Gandhian Values. Up to this very day, Arya has been a brother, a teacher, a father, and a friend.
Now, i am temporarily living in Redmond, Washington, USA., where i dedicate most of my time with my children, whom are now growing young adults. Love, respect, and friendship and learning to live in non-violence are basic values to teach, as example, and share, especially, with all those who have a future and are uncertain or have no goals.
My / our projects, events, campaigns, research, publications
Since i graduated from High School, i have dedicated my whole life in helping and assisting others in need.
With the spirit of devotion, and continuous dedicated desire in fulfilling the mission that God has chosen for me, i am in search of a "community" or "village", already existing, or still to be created,..to be part of a team, who want to work together for the sake of World Peace. Namyohorenghekyo

You describe yourself as a seeker of world peace. While your efforts don't seem to often include resistance work, I'm writingvyou anyway forvyour opinionI am contacting all American members who describe themselves as activists to see if you agree with my criticismAmerican practitioners of nonviolent resistance. I hold that Gandhi is being ignored among Americans who seek mercy fronthe courts after their NVCD arrests. Gandhi saw value in suffering in jail to touch the heart of the adversary. Please respond to me at dslesinger@alum.MIT.edu
