“All that Lives is thy Neighbor” – this and other teachings of Mahatma Gandhi are the principles that guide Lia Diskin’s work. She is the woman who organizes the Dalai Lama’s visits to Brazil, and is behind some of the most palpable and persistent initiatives for peace and peaceful coexistence in Brazil.

I have recently (Nov 27, 2008) been to Argentina to speak about Gandhi at the Festival of India organized by the Embassy of India in Buenos Aires. Movie: Midshot- an experiment with truth based on Gandhi- Godse ideology.

Watch Now- you can contact me at

Synopsis: "MID SHOT- an experiment with truth is about the travails of a director, Ram Bhardwaj who tries to unravel the assassination of his ideal, Mahatma Gandhi. He starts making a film called G2 which explores the Gandhi- Godse ideological divide. The film, while still in the making, to the director's dismay, becomes a subject of controversy and the distorted projection of it even leads to communal riots. Meanwhile, pressure mounts on the director by vested interests to ideologically slant the film. How the movie on Gandhi then becomes an experiment with truth in his own life and makes him search for answers in his inner self, is what the movie is all about.

India Redefined the movement which I started last year& got award for ,'The Best Humanitarian Initiative of the Year
has started three different projects- "I Care", " Educate India", "Develop Your Village".Join & be with me in Redefining India.

India Redefined draws its inspiration from Gandhian Movement which was a revolution focused on independence. It was also about specific actions like non- cooperation by citizens. We are just trying to apply many Gandhiji's principles’ in this era, in this society and during these times. Maybe in a different flavor! Maybe the context is different! Maybe it’s a different world! But the goal is same! He also wanted India a better place to live in.

Thousands of people have joined this movement across the globe but we have only 37 Chapter co-ordinators till now to take on the responsibility, by rotation in different cities of India. It is voluntary work. If you want to suggest anyone's names for Chapter coordinator, then please send me a mail regarding this at

I am trying to start Global Gandhi Forum to attract youngones towards his thaughts. We are launching a campign violence free India(why India-but world).
