In regard to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi I am a / we are an: institution

About me / us: A Citizen Sector Organization registered under The West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 and enlisted with the NGO Partnership System of Planning Commission, Government of India. The Organization is founded in memory of Late (Smt.) Krishna Biswas who dedicated herself to progressive movement for the welfare of women and society. It works with the grassroots-level organizations working directly with and for the underprivileged.

SUSANTA BISWAS Documentaries on the success of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act

Susanta Biswas, a reputed documentary film maker from Kolkata, completed the making of two documentary films on the success stories under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act, popularly known as NREGA. The Act aims at enhancing the livelihood security of people in rural areas by guaranteeing hundred days of wage-employment in a financial year to a rural household who volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
