Dear Ajit,

Sorry for responding only now. I watched the video and, frankly, I was amazed how a man can speak with such bitterness and hate about Gandhiji. For one thing, he obviously missed Gandhi's most important message: be humble and regard every man as your friend, even if you do not agree with him. If you refuse to talk to someone, if you humiliate him or harm him in any way, or even kill him...how can the situation turn for the better? Using violence has never reached a goal that has lasted any longer than a second.

Being a human, being a friend to others is much more important than being a Hindu, a Muslim or a Christian. Anyone who is hiding his individual qualities behind a mask of a religion or a nation, is doomed to grope around in the dark, never reaching the essence of this Life we are given. Let us hope that this man will be wiser some day. Then he will see that it doesn't take a saint or a killer to improve this world. All it takes is individuals who are willing to live along side each other in respect and friendship. The only thing we can do to get him, and a lot of others, to see this, is not to condemn and we ourselves to live a life of ahimsa.

Best of luck,
Tara
