About me / us
I live with my husband and two daughters near the IJssel river in Deventer. Our house has solar panels and a "green" roof and we personally plastered the inner walls with mud. With our neighbours we share a big garden with in it two goats, quite a rarity in the city surroundings.
My / our projects, events, campaigns, research, publications
I have studied Gandhi's ideas and philosophy, by reading and also by going to India, travelling through Gujarat and talking to a lot of wonderful people there, some of whom had worked with Gandhi. I have written a thesis on Gandhi's views on technology and it's relevance for the world today. Gandhi ideas of satya and ahimsa have influenced me deeply and I try to live by them. His ideas are very relevant to our world indeed!

Dear Tara, How are you and the family. I just finished a 10 Day Course on Ayurveda and Gandhi in Jaipur. About 20 students from Italy participated. I gave a overall picture of Swaraj and Swasthya. Love and blessings to all.

i am a friend of Ary Bushan Bhardwaj since 1982... i have by chance seen one of your messages to him, went to your page, your profile... i think you and your family are 'special' and i would appreciate your friendship...
It's nice to read your profile which i feel is very good. I am yet a student.
Recently, i am intrigued after watching some videos and articles which portrait Mahatma Gandhi as committing a major mistake in the matter of partition. There were many arguments against his action, not only pertaining to partition but also his life. But i don't want to believe them (actually confused!).
If you could please clarify his role in partition and its consequences....
One of the videos that i watched was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swidY98_CnM&feature=related
