- About me / us
- I was with Pesticide Action Network Asia and the Pacific and located in Penang, Malaysia till end April 2010. I have since returned home and continue as a writer-researcher-consultant on issues of food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture and small farmers.
- My / our projects, events, campaigns, research, publications
- My major concern is how the small farmers and other small food producers can regain the control over their farming and their lives, which has been snatched from them through the intrusion of corporations in the field. This has marginalized the small food producers and made agriculture another business. But agriculture was and is our 'culture', a status it must be restored to.
- I am / We are member of the following institution(s)
- I am coordinating the Dehra Dun district unit of the Sarvodaya Mandal (started by Vinoba Bhave and other Gandhians in April 1948). I am also a core member of Beej Bachao Andolan (Uttarakhand), a nonformal collective of small farmers and activists seeking to conserve native and traditional seeds and preserve the principle of traditional, holistic and sustainable agriculture.

When we at Sarvodaya Mandal Dehra Dun decided to celebrate Kasturba Gandhi’s birthday, we soon realized that most of the people are not aware of the date of her birth, and nor is her birthday observed publically anywhere. I am currently (since April 2011) heading the Zila Sarvodaya Mandal, Dehra Dun (the district unit of the Sarvodaya Samaj, set up by Acharya Vinoba Bhave in April 1948). The Mandal is affiliated to Sarva Seva Sangh, Varanasi.
