Yoga – Is Chanting mantras mandatory? There goes a debate in our country about chanting mantras during Yogic exercies and making it mandatory in schools and institutions. Rising Petrol, Diesel, LPG price – Daring policies of the government

The government of India has a policy of fixing/announcing a new price of petrol and diesel every fortnight and the same has become a menace in the transportation and oil sectors. The consumers have literally become hopeless when it comes to fighting the government as regards to souring prices of these two essential commodities despite the lowering price of the crude oil in the international market.

AUM.

Thanks indeed Shri Balamurali Balaji on my article on Marital Rape. You have taken pains to go into the problem in depth.

The Law in Bharat does not recognise marital rape. Our Vedic Dharm speaks volumes on Vedic Dharm bu there is not a word on marital rape.

Frankly speaking, it is a concept of the West where Women's Lib movement , inter alia, created a chasm between the husband and wife. We must encourage them to live together and NOT end up as single parent.

Sasneh,

For N. Ashok Kumar

I agree India and China has taken different routes.  For first 65 years if independence, India adopted the Western socialist/ communist ideas, tried to destroy the ancient Indian culture and so did China.  Morals and ethics were ignored by the leaders in both countries for material prosperity.  In China it it is estimated that around 70 million Chinese died as a result of government policies.  British were very good at controlling media and school text books to show that they were very honest and benevolent rulers.  The truth was far from it.  British educated believed everything they read in text books and came to hate everything Indian - morals, ethics, scriptures, leaders, etc.

Hope someone, somewhere will initiate a non-violent civil disobedience for a good cause for the benefit of common men.
