Dear Bitan,
Still the learnings of Gandhiji exists in our day to day life with special reference to Trusteeship. There are a number of examples in India....see the fall of Satyam...lack of trusteeship between the company an investors. there are many more such examples which you can see in your day to day life or near your surroundings.
take care.....

Hello Bitan. Thank you for adding me as a friend. Would be nice to know more about how you're living out truth and non-violence while working in government. How about adding this information to your profile?

Gandhi once said:
" I am prepared to die, but there is no cause for which I am prepared to kill."
If men were wise enough to follow his path the world would be a much better place.

Since early childhood I have revered and learned about the great Mahatma Gandhi. Coming from a childhood of unbelievable violence i waited each second, minute, hours, day, week, and years until I also would be able to provide a place of Peace, safety, understanding, compassion. To walk by, with, to, and for belief and faith was my one request from God. I am now at that place, but unfortunately on life support (dialysis).

Before I became with so many disabilities, I also met Mother Theresa. I told of my two wishes, of a yearly event to remember lives with profound disabilities and to build a Peace Center by/for/with and to lives with any kind of disabilities, and make it Inclusive and Accessible for all.

She told me, 'continue, you will not fail'. I met here two more times and each time she gave me this same message. This year, will be our first event and I dearly hope it will continue after my death. I also hope the legacy for now and to future generations of a MHONA Global Peace Center will become a reality. I feel that the lives of the frailest are really not heard in today's world, and their lives thrown asunder without conscience.

It is time we come together as civilians of the globe, as well our children and start our 'walk and roll' here in the City of San Francisco wherein the first offering to Nations offered Universal Human Rights. This time it will be the most frail, our family, friends, all houses of faith who will work alongside us to offer an accessible place as our Global Peace Center where no one will be turned away and barriers to the heart no longer exist.

I believe that the great teacher Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Theressa would approve of this very important offering. MHONA stands for:

Many Helpers Outreach Network Affiliates. Civilians, youth of all countries working together to offer goodness, hope, empowerment and Peace in the time we have left. We only ask for all lives coming to assist us on these two projects to be pledged to Peace throughout their lives, offering only goodness.
