Dear Arch,

I've just responded to your friend request. I can see from your profile that you are quite involved in issues close to Gandhi's heart. I am an English teacher, recently retired from service. I gave a talk last year on Oct. 2/3 (Gandhi Jayanthi) in Frankfurt on the topic "Jesus & Gandhi". If there is any platform on which you would like me to speak, please let me know. I would be happy to participate.

Regards,

Cherian

Dear Arch, I, too, look forward to working with like minded people like you. The change is must but it should start from oneself. It is very good if your near and dear ones, too, fall in line with you. If not, there is no need to feel bad, too. Gandhji, too, had faced such problem with his son (Hiralal) who did not have similar views as Gandhi had. All gandhians can feel themselves as part of extended family as Gandhi felt about the inmates of their ashrams in India and South Africa (later on, the whole world was his family). Let us work for making this world a peaceful place to stay.

Dear Arch,
I did not organize any event on my own on the last 2 nd of Oct. but I attended one that was organized by the Udalguri District Committee of the All Bodo Students Union as the Chief guest. Local news parers have carried the report. I shall see if I can get the clippings. I fi succeed in doing so I shall swnd you the scanned copies. I hope Gandhitopia has facility to send such clippings. Time permitting I shall explore the possibility and send.
Best wishes.

yes, of course, it is my duty. I start with my fallibility and, therefore, that of people as Gandhi himself used to do. He maintained 'double Standards' in his life. strict and unforgiving for himself and generous for others! This is the essence of Ahimsa. We can work on that expanding its meaning to include all activities, demands of the people that lead to a better society. Thanks
