US ambassador to India Timothy J Roemer was on one day visit of Ahmedabad on 10 th May 2011. Roemor impressed in Gujarat with two point. One with Gandhi Ashram and other with development of Gujarat. He talked on Lasker eToeba and terrorism whose leaders have been charged with the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai.
He said about 20 percent of Indian Americans in the US come from Gujarat. He added that the state was growing fast with over 10 percent annual growth but evaded a question on when the US would do business with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
