Panchayati Raj ---Need of the Hour for Introspection

As we are very well aware about this fact that new Panchayti Raj Act came into force on April 24,1993. No doubt ,the style and functioning of Panchayti Raj is really appreciable .  Under the prevailing circumstances , it appears that there is an urgent need to review and analyse the trends of voting behaviour as well as  socio-economic change taking place  in the Villages . In such a situation , the questions naturally arises ---what will be  the future of Panchayti raj in India
