OF LATE SOME GENTLEMEN HAVE REFLOATED THE IDEA OF AKHAND BHARAT, THAT IS UNDIVIDED BHARAT. THE CONGRESS PARTY BIGWIGS HAVE TAKEN STRONG EXCEPTION TO THIS IDEA.
MAY I MENTION THAT MAHATMA GANDHI WAS OPPOSED TO VIVISECTION OF BHARAT. HE OPPOSED IT FROM THE WORD GO. HE DID NOT JOINN PT NEHRU AND OTHERS IN SEEING BHARAT VIVISECTED. NO WONDER THAT HE DID NOT WISH TO BE IN NEW DELHI WHEN BHARAT BECAME INDEPENDENT.
LEFT TO HIMSELF, GANDHIJI WOULD HAVE FOUGHT, OF COURSE NON-VIOLENTLY, AGAINST THE IDEA OF A KHANDIT BHARAT. I WONDER WHY THE CHILDISH LEADERS OF THE SAME CONGRESS PARTY ARE NOW OPPOSING THE VERY IDEA OF A UNITED BHARAT. PERHAPS THEY ARE OBLIVIOUS OF THE VIEWS OF GANDHIJI ON THE ISSUE.
THEY ARE ADVISED TO READ HISTORY BOOKS FIRST AND OPEN THEIR MOUTHS LATER.
Gandhiji did not believe in doing anything which destroys peace and harmony. He believed in UNITY of SOULS. He believed in UNITY OF MANKIND. He believed in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ( a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad, which means "the world is one family").
His was student of TRUTH and used to redefine his views and ideas as he progressed in the search of TRUTH. It is difficult to predict whether he (in the present scenario) could have agreed to the concept of AKHAND BHARAT or not. However, he could never have agreed to do anything if it creates hatred and violence.
The dreams of AKHAND BHARAT (even AKHAND VISVA) can be realized by unification of hearts and souls only. There is no other way out. This is the only purest way and all other ways will have an element of impurity. So, let us try to change ourselves with fragrance of love and kindness. All other dreams will follow the suit.
