A Letter to All Indians -

Whole of Indian masses and their mentalities are suffering under corrupt practices of politicians and administrators. Against this, various individuals and organizations are struggling in their own ways. As an initiative of this type, 87 year old and a father figure to all of us has declared his 'fast unto death' at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi from 5th April 2011. His demand is that the government immediately enact a legislation to punish corrupt person within 3 months of the case coming to light and confiscate all his/her ill-gotten wealth.

Some organizations and modern leaders are busy in shining their leadership at the cost of life of the octogenarian. I have requested them to come forward in large number to fast unto death in place of the fast by Shri Anna Hazare. But this went unheeded by them. Therefore, I have decided to go on fast unto death at Jantar Mantar from 5th April 2011 with the same demand and accordingly informed the President and the Prime Minister of India. Along with this, I have requested Shri Anna Hazare not to go on his proposed fast but be present at the site as an inspiration to the self-sacrificing persons like me.

With this, I request you all -

  1. Present yourself for fast unto death at Jantar Mantar. New Delhi along with me with advance intimation to the President and Prime Minister of India.
  2. Who are unable to go on fast unto death, be present at the site and fast in accordance with their individual capacities and be part of the struggle
  3. Who are unable to follow the above request for their far-away locations, they organize mass hunger strikes in their respective villages, towns and cities from 5th April 2011 with advance intimations to their respective District Magistrates.
  4. Inspire all your friends and relations to do any of the things given above.

Dear and Respected Ram Bansalji and Hazareji,

The fast unto death you have undertaken has sent clear signals to the people all over the country in curbing the corruption and bringing a legislation to punish the corruptive politicians and administrators.

Surely, this kind of protest initiated by senior Gandhians must be heard by the government and the whole country would venture into the beginning of a new era if the legislation is passed. It would be a great tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and we can hopefully see a new India, a corruption-free India in very near future.

While passing the anti-corruption legislation, thousands of corrupt officials shall be booked under law and corrective actions shall be taken for their wrong doings. All over the country, corrupt politicians, administrators and officials from the bottom to top level shall be identified and charged for corruption in a massive way. This should be the immediate effect! This would be the one and only way to measure the success of the fast and also the magnitude of the effect of the legislation to be passed.

This Gandhian effort has its own dignity and one must remember while after India's freedom was announced, British settlers were slowly moving back to their homelands in batches to mark India's freedom. And, that was the victory of Mahatma Gandhiji and the freedom struggle. Today, the struggle against the corruption has been tackled and fought by many and Shri. Bansalji and Shri. Hazaraji have made it a big way and the rest is going to be history.

People of India should come forward to celebrate the occassion and shall be ready to see another change. I, in my personal capacity is going to join this fast at home.

From the souther corner of India... Longlive Gandhian Way!

Fasting unto death for removal of correption is an adventure by a elderly social worker, we all should whole heartedly sympathise with Shri Ram Bansal. But at the same times I must say that this correption is the part and parcle of this System, I mean Parlimentery System of Democracy. We have to work for a better and positive System. This is what Gandhi was trying to convey to the Nation in 1935, but unfortunately he was left alone. It can be alter not by the State Power. It has to be done by people at the grassroots level. The limitation with Democracy is that it is a game of Head Counts, and not what is inside the Heads. Brain is not requied in this game. Only when a human beings are able to realise the State of absolute reality of life then only it will be possible. Humanity has to walk a long way, let us all try to that goal. It will be possible, I am sure.
