On 9 July 2009 an exhibition about the 20th anniversary of the peaceful revolution in former GDR has been inaugurated at Berlin. It has been compiled by the Ecumenic Working Committee of Catholic, Protestant and Independent Perishes at Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, in cooperation with the GandhiServe Foundation. The exhibition remembers the events in and around Gethsemane Church in October 1989 and provides an insight in the historic context. The exhibition also documents the history of nonviolence, exemplified in the Sermon of the Mount, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. as well as popular examples of nonviolent resistance..
