Youth is a great power which shapes any country. Culture, Education, Jobs, Business and Thoughts, accepted by young population of any country decides the current and future condition of that country. Today India is the youngest country. Aprox. 21% of world’s youth population is in India, which is a huge percent. Youth constitute 41.05% of Indian population. This is highest population of youth than any other country has. Today India has tremendous source of potential and energy. Youth has zeal to initiate and be a part of change. This means an opportunity to initiate steps for world peace and that through teachings of Mahatma Gandhi lies with India.
So why not divert emotional youth, why not utilize their impatience, why not answer their curiosity and why not make a way for their rebelliousness in a nonviolent process? Youth will decide the future of our country. They will build nonviolent, secure and peaceful society. Youth if educated and trained properly will make it happen.

Gandhi showed the World what Non-Violent Rebelliousness can achieve in the Dandi Yatra. The world sat up and took notice of the little man in the loincloth. As you say it certainly rests with the Youth of today. We saw a glimpse of it though in the world OCCUPY movement recently. Any Movement to go forward however must be based on Persistence..Persistence and a never give up mentality. (Gandhi certainly never gave up) I have been coming to India for the last few years, mostly in Assam where there is a Youth Uttam Teron who singlehandedly built up a School in a small Village Pamohi. He started from his family home with about 3 or 4 pre schoolers and now the school Parijat Academy has around 500 students up to Class 11. I live at the School inside Uttam,s office and we travel all over Assam to raise awareness of conditions of children and women. I have walked in many places of India to raise awareness of Gandhi and his methods of Satya and Ahimsa. In 2005 I walked in the 75th anniversary of the Dandi Yatra.
I am planning to come back to India in around October this year and I would love to assist you in a ground breaking rebelliousness of youth as per Gandhi's methods.
Please don't give up on your idea BUT it needs utmost Devotion and Persistence... Persistence
Sincerely
Garvin

Permalink Reply by Swati Singh on December 11, 2012 at 10:54am development in any country is recognized by tertiary education or higher education. India is far behind in this case.. according to education statistics of tertiary enrollment (most recent) among 150 countries, India stands at 94 rank with 10.5% amount..India is a populous country..but the quality of of its human resource is low..to take the advantage of this growing population, there is the need of vast change in education system,,which should be based on quality dimension in place of increasing enrollment.,,then it will turned in to 'demographic dividend'.
